Hi, I am new to this forum, my name is Craig and I am from New South Wales Australia. I own a 2002 Nissan Navara D22 3 litre. The vehicle was going ok until recently, I had to replace the (EGV) (Ithink) valve??. Anyway this was due to black smoke coming from the motor and no power. This worked, but now I have inherited another problem. I have noticed that when I am in fourth gear the motor starts to miss. I do tow a caravan and this is more noticeable under load. But I went out yesterday and I notice it miss even when I am not towing. The vehicle had only 114K on the clock, I regularly service the vehicle and the fuel filter has recently been changed. I am hoping that someone out there can help. I am buffled, and what scares me is taking to a dealer and paying big $$$$$ when there was only a minor technical probelm with the car. Can anyone help and give suggestions. Thanks Craig

sounds like neutral switch has gone faulty. its one of the switchs on the gearbox (can't remember which one at the mo) unplug it and if problem goes away you can then replace it.
replaced the EGR valve? i would just block it off and disable the EGR butterfly. instructions are at http://www.navara.asia/forum.php

also the fault could be from fuel blockage or air leaking in. either one is very bad news for these motors.
