Hi guys


I am looking at options to upgrade the satnav screen etc and was curious if anybody had tried this item on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... TQ:US:1123. I emailed the seller and he says it will work fine on my 08 Aventura, not sure if I need any convertor cables to make it work


It looks good and hopefully I could fit a reverse camera also, on that subject any reccomendations for a good camera

Hi Anthony, i have purchased one of those 2 din head units from China, admittedly not that expensive however it was very similar. Whilst mine does what it claims to do the quality and speed in which it does it is really poor and annoying. The sat nav will work however it is probably an illegal copy of Tom Tom or similar and when in operation the battery light on the display will flash and all sorts of other weird things. The other thing to remember is you may get caught for the import duty.

The dual zone function is misleading to, mine will play a dvd on the screen whilst in sat nav mode, when the sat nav needs to announce a new direction etc it switches from dvd to sat nav very slowly by which time you may have missed the junction etc. All the time this is happening the kids screens inthe back are displaying the sat nav screen.

The bluetooth handsfree works but you cant upload the contents of your phone and you might not get caller id other than the number.

The ipod lead will connect and allow music to be played, however mine doesnt charge the phone!

To be honest the conclusion i came to was, buy an expensive pioneer or kenwood version and you'll save yourself alot of hassle.

The only cheaper one i would even remotely consider is a Zenec one.

Never realsied that and now not sure I want to go to that extreme. Maybee look at the Kenwood or similar items mentioned

Still have to change the dash for the Kenwood
