D40 decat + exhaust testers needed

Hi guys/girls I work for www.jpexhausts.co.uk we have designed a decat and exhaust for the D40 and need a couple of volunteers to have the systems fitted to there Navara's. Unfortunately I can't offer them for free but will do them at cost. In exchange we require your thoughts after fitting on noise levels and any improvement in performance. Any interested parties please contact me by email rick@jpexhausts.co.uk

System is built in 304 grade stainless steel and features a flexible joint, double skinned straight through absorbtion silencer and 3 1/2" slash cut polished tail exiting at the rear drivers side on uk cars. We can also offer side exit in front of rear wheel also. The system is fully flange jointed for ease of fit and all nuts/bolts and gaskets will be included. Lifetime gurantee for original purchaser.

We would like to fit one system so we can take some pictures and a bit of video for marketing purposes. We are based in Macclesfield.

Yo Andy...bud...If you go ahead with it can you finally make certain we have some before after audio clips. Happy to assist if necessary ;-) I've chickened out as I am worried about too much noise....

Oh and before/after rolling road as well ;-)

The guy has probably been inundated with requests from hungry Nav owners :lol: must say though, have looked at their work before and it does look the biz - will defo be considering them for the next stainless I purchase, they do a stonker for the RRS.

Suppose all they need to do is post, busy and will get back to you :roll:

Will reply today. Apologies for delay have been out of office for a few days then blasted email down for a day!!!!!
I will reply to everyone at same time first two people back to me will get the job. But obviously one of you needs to be near the workshop.

It does look a nice system, lets see how it compares to my scorpion on both performance and sound wise...deffo need a bit more sound imo, hopefully the new system will offer that, especially decated.

Also as you do this for a living does removing the cat affect the mot, if it does is it easy enough just to bolt the cat back on for testing purposes. Any joins in the system will need to be where the cat was originally. Then there is the case of the auto navs with the dps filter, i have been led to believe these have sensors in the cat, if so how is this bypassed?

Just a few questions that im sure will be asked at some point :mrgreen:

It's not yet for the DPF'd ones Warpa as I now know. A decat shouldn't have an impact on the MOT as it won't be tested for emissions anyway, just particles...

Do you mean the Scorpion can do with more sound?

Scorpion could do with more sound, but that may be my opinion only. They have the sound right in the fact you hear it when giving it some gas, in that case i think it should make more. Normal cruising its silent. As for the mot i got told that if a car has a cat it gets cat tested, if it doesnt it gets a smoke test. This is where the confusion may be, an mot inspector is not going to crawl underneath and see it has no cat and therefore run a smoke test :scratch:

And as we have to go to a plate test mot im not thinking they will be as forgiving, maybe just me but i have plate tested trucks in the past and if they were not steam cleaned and turned up with a filthy chasis they would fail. I can see a jobsworth now seeing a pimped nav and thinking to himself im going to give this smug fooker a hard time. :roll:
