Cars in bits at the min doing the timing chain, noticed a bit of oil in the boost pipe work when it was all apart I did clean it out about a year ago but there's more there than I would expect, also a bit of movement in the turbo shaft again not sure what a good ones like but feels more movement than I would expect.
Truck also seams slow to me and smokes a bit when pushed so guessing this all adds up to being the turbo.

The oil in the boost pipes is normal but if the turbo shaft has any sideways movement it's goosed, so good call. :thumbleft:

There have been quite a lot of people on here who have thought they had turbo issues. Generally speaking this isn't the case, in spite of the other problems the turbo is pretty reliable.
I would recommend a second opinion, but beware, many garages diagnose faulty turbos incorrectly. However tempting, keep away from the cheap chinese ones, they will self destruct.
