I'm gunna order up a light bar I just wanna see some set ups and what size do you have
Thanks to reading the excellent info on this forum I've just fitted a 32" curved LED light bar into the front bumper on my Pathfinder. Apologies for the dirty car in the photo. It's such a good fit to the front of the car it looks like it was made for the job. Obviously it blocks air to the cooler but I don't tow often.

I also bought a bespoke switch off eBay which works really well in the redundant slot at the end of the dash.

The performance of the light (it's a 300W one) is fantastic. Really makes the drive home across the country lanes and through the woods much more pleasant. For the cost I think its a really worthwhile upgrade.
How effective are they? Any chance of a pic of the pool of light they cast?used a couple of these

Useless - try this off amazon for a tenner. Works well and easy to fit under the bumper or bed, cut in to the reverse light - job done:Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Does any one know of a light bar or small strips that fit in between the rear bumper and the tail gate suitable for reversing lights.

Mine fitted under rear bumper and on the reverse light - it does make a big difference when I reverse down the drive at night (in sticks so no street lights), think if you had one each side would be perfect but mine in middle and happy with it. Easy fixings as well and for money good value.I bought that one at the same time as my front lightbar, not got round to fitting it yet.
Think im going to find a way to fit it on the under towbar so it is central(on a Pathy so cant do bumper)
Does it give a good flood of light?
Cheers, as it was on my mind ive just fitted it, will have a proper look when dark but i think i may get another just for symmetry.Mine fitted under rear bumper and on the reverse light - it does make a big difference when I reverse down the drive at night (in sticks so no street lights), think if you had one each side would be perfect but mine in middle and happy with it. The wiring was the same as any spot light - found the main beam trigger (blue wire) from the headlamp and used that to activate a relay to power the light switched through the dash switch. The length of the light bar is almost exactly the same as the distance between the two big number bolts behind the plastic trim at the edge of the grille so I piggybacked off those with a couple of cut sections of box I had handy so it's very solidly mounted. I should have taken pictures but now it's all together you can't see the mounts....This looks amazing!
How complicated was the installation and wiring? Did you have to do any drilling?
Any tips?
Thanks in advance!
NB
This is mine

Since the picture was taken the upper one has been lowered on the brackets, reducing wind noise and bonnet glare.
They are both 32" 180w straight bars.
This might help: http://www.nissan-navara.net/19-accessories/26794-my-new-lightbar.htmlbut to connect the bar light , the cables where you spend them?
That's a stealthy place to put it.Thought I'd show what I did once I'd removed the curved lightbar.
