My 06 plate outlaw is doing average 32.9mpg around town and about 35mpg on a run. I have only had it a few months and as far as im aware there is no mods to it. Really happy with this after reading other posts about 20mpg, could not afford to run it at 20mpg.

I have a 3 week old Tekna auto, fully loaded with 500kg tools all time getting 21.7 mpg with normal driving and the odd pedal to the metal, without tools getting 28.4 on a run 25.8 around town, had two d40 manuals before average was 23.5 with tools, worth the loss of mpg getting the auto :D :D will never have a manual pickup again the auto is great.

Can't wait for the v6 auto (if it comes) :clappy: :clappy: :clappy:

I've had an 06 aventura for 9 months now. it is a manual with 63K and no mods that I know of. Normally get 33 mpg with normal rural driving but recently tried a very careful 120 km drive and got 42 mpg - minimal braking, no hard acceleration etc. A bit boring but worth it to see what it would do. Changed from a 4 litre Jeep wrangler that did 15 mpg at best, so well happy.

truly amazing ... how can this vary so much .

I have the very same vehicle ... brand new in October. Was only getting 17/18 normal driving to work and back, now chipped upto 22/23 and 32 on Mway.

Just wondering how far you guys have dared to go on reserve??

I never try to go more than 20 miles and always take it easy but recently hit the reserve on the M11 a few junctions before M25 and needed to get a good 40/45 miles to my house. Believe it or not I did it and when i filled it worked out from an empty tank to brimmed that I still had a few litres in there. managed 43 odd miles on reserve sitting at 65ish mph with a bike and race kit in the back

Secondly Im up for change in the next few weeks (new nav ordered in black auto) coming in very soon. I know I always get over 400 miles before reserve on my manual and always every week average 27.5mpg. What range are the Euro 3 and Euro 4 auto's getting?? Full to reserve??

Im hoping this new 190 odd bhp auto will be slightly more efficient and get close/same as my manual...hoping

never had more than 300 mile range from a full(ish) tank 59 tekna auto.
really!? **** thats no good for me! My fuel usage is capped at ÂŁ300 a month with the miles i do the manual leaves ÂŁ40 or so each month. What mpg you readin? Thats gotta be high teens? Is it town driving you do?

When I filled up yesterday (to the brim) puter said 512 miles, which is normal. I can get from my house to Boulogne (480 miles) easily on one tank, mix of autoroute and rural roads. Drive computer seems accurate and hasnt broken yet!

OK I just re set the trip computer, set the screen up on fuel usage and drove the truck and always tried to keep her in the 30mpg range. This means slowing as you go up the hills to keep it in the "Zone" and coasting on the down hills to go way above the "Zone," Very very gentle acceleration. The last 60 miles inc 10 miles in the city of Norwich and 50 miles of back lane driving with a ladder on the roof bars and truck full off tools gave me 29MPG this also inc a cold start.
But boy was it hard!

We have a Pathfinder and a Navara:

Pathfinder Aventura Manual 2006 (56) Euro 3: - been thrashed its whole life :?
32.5mpg: driven really hard everywhere
42.5mpg: motorway
29.9mpg: 1 1/2 ton caravan on back
Chipped (up to 222bhp) cant remember the make and massive heavy duty magnets on the fuel lines...
Chips: 2-3mpg increase and Magnets: 1-2mpg increase

2010 (10) Nissan Navara Tekna S/Nav Manual Euro 4 - 3000 miles now
29.6mpg - everywhere (has 1/2 a ton of tools in the back wherever it goes and a roll top and a pipe box on roof bars)
Managed to get it up to 30.2mpg driven conservatively...
No chips because I dont want to void the warranty, magnets however will be fitted soon...

Pathfinder is a Euro 3 and they are better on fuel anyway, but the Navara is definatly cleaner.
Im pleased with both of them tbh... :)
Hope that helps,

Do the magnets actually work?I always took them to be a gimmick

ummm, ive been taking off the magnets on and off and it hasnt made a difference really... the pathfinder was fitted with them from my uncle and theyve stayed on there, i would be intrigged to find out what they do to my nav.

however going into nissan they said:
"there a con mate, if they worked, i would be selling one to you right now" ;)
so thats ur answer but if they do work on my nav ill get back to you ;)
