no thats a petrol v8 the navara has a baffle at the front of the filter box that can be removed so will make a bit more noise and seems to rev easier personally hate k and n but its your choice on that.

Don't K and N it is my advice. I found sand/grit on the wrong side of my K and N after a spot of greenlaning. I don't think it seals in the air box correctly. This is just my experience though. I believe that others with cone/apollo units have had better luck. But once bitten, twice shy for me I'm afraid.

Thats good to know, thanks. But what i was trying to get at was more.. if i removed the baffle thats inside, but still left the original standard filter and box..is there any difference and if so is ot benefitial?

like i said makes marginally more noise but i have a snorkel as well so its hard to tell put another way it removes a restriction in the airbox so it cant do any harm but you wont see burnouts at 20 in second!
