that is the price from the marketing bulletin i posted earlyer, its on the bottom of the one page. none of my local dealers will budge on the list price either

i am more than happy to be pointed in the right direction though

ooh just noticed i have over 50 posts, thats the most i have ever had

If the dealer isn't willing to budge, then walk away ;-) There is always someone who is willing to deal....I never buy anything of that value with at the very least 10% discount, but aim for much more...They've got good dealer margins....

best looking, best spec, best performance, there is no comatition really.
i just hope i can keep my impatiance at bay till the V6 comes out, i have managed this long (you guys are not helping) i think i can hold out a few more months

I cant see the V6 being that much more. Im sure ÂŁ1500-2000 but not ÂŁ4k+. What Navara1 might have meant was his cost to change was ÂŁ4500 into a new one px'ing his '10 reg sort of 6 months down the line. So losing a few k on his and paying a few on the new V6 model....I could be wrong here but it just makes more sense.

A dealer would always want a nice 6 month old Navara to sell on the used forecourt

As for discounts theres no market plan out yet hence alot of dealers not budging much on price - its quite simply they dont know exactly what deals they've got to play with. The 4x4 specialists will have even more.

Lastly dejongj where did you buy a navara with over 10% discount??? Was it a fleet or contract hire purchase?? 3 payments up front or something??

Pick mine up Wednesday then it in the paint shop for a one off paint job. Still can't make my mind up what colour to paint the new rims. All should be done by next saturday to go to Santa pod. I will but up some pictures before and after with.
navara1 I get mine fingers crossed wednesday too! Got told its on its way :partycheer:

Gimme a call when you get yours. You gonna be tinkering with the power again 8)

Glyn Hopkin in Milton Keynes, just straight forward dealer cash purchase....But yes it might be just that little bit too early for the facelift to do the same....

For me it is a principle though, where ever whatever I buy I want double digits discount...So say no and I walk away others say yes and we have a deal...It is just a matter of principle as they all work (all brands) to decent enough margins....It is a silly game...But hey it is demand and supply, if lots of people want what they've got then it is going to be harder....

Anyway the latest round up review for 4x4 pickups did not have the Navara on top of the pile, the angle was commercial use...Since the Navara is too big ??? And not fuel economical enough....Can't remember who won it as I thought it was a pointless article, buying a VAN will be cheaper than any of these vehicles, to buy, to run, and you can put more in it...Very few really need 4x4 anyway....But hey it might help as the Navara is no longer king according to the printed press....I think it was Toyota or Ford that won...

Dean I have misplaced your number but been I the new navara today, pick it up tommorrow. Sent some pictures to warpa early on today. Reverse cam very clear but the engine was very tappy and knocky, with some luck it will settle down when up to temp.

No mate still the same sort off switch just round and more chunky. There is a ESP switch in the the blank slot between the heated seats and 4x4 switch. Reverse cam is good and is sat under the door handle on the tailgate. I still don't know how to upload pic's from iphone to forum. I have sent pictures to warpa with reverse cam working and what not. Also the front lights are the same as the present D40 :( . Maybe the V6 will get the nice new ones like on the pathfinder. On first sight it is no different to the present one. Lets see if the engine makes a difference :?:

Hi Navara 1
Where did you get yours from (which dealer) and have they a demo to see.?
I'm waiting for mine to arrive (Slate grey Tekna) dealer isnt very specific as to when it arrives.
Hopefully end of this month as my L200 lease finishes. Buying the Nav this time. (Go easy on me its been faultless in 45K)
Would like to see one in the flesh.
Ta
Dave.

Wow navara1 you got yours quick! Im impressed with the camera too although thought it would have a 4wd auto.

Inside looks much nicer, quite classy I think. Cant really tell any difference outside though.

The pathfinder has got an Auto setting on its 4wd system so you don't have to move the switch manually...Which can be handy, though when you push it a little along a country lane as I did on a 6am morning in my wife's Murano and all of a sudden in a bend 4wd kicks in it can kick you off the road if you don't know what to do....I definitely prefer either fulltime, or manual but not this inbetween stuff...Fair enough I was driving 'too fast' but could handle the car, was made more difficult by the car 'fighting' with me...

Not much change really on over all look. You need to look hard as from a distance there was two navs mine and the shape as the old one together and you can not tell apart. The pathfinder light luck cool maybe the 3L V6 will have them ?

So that's 2 with the facelift, but who supplied them that quick ?
Come on spill the baens.
Dave.
Mines from Toomeys in southend, 01702 563129.

Outside the bumper is smooth and the front has subtle differences. The inside is all different though and the satnav system is unreal! Whats DIV X??

Music playing from phone. USB connector, brilliant postcode satnav. Im well chuffed :partycheer:

That's great! But remember it isn't true without pictures ;-)

DivX is a way of encapsulating video files, it is what is called a container. On windows it has most likely an avi extension, on Mac it doesn't matter what the extension says :) Inside it video is normally in h.264 format these days and can have proper dolby surround (AC3), subtitles, all included in multiple languages...
