Ok first let me admit, I """"technically"""" do not own a Navara at the moment. However I should be done with all the financing paperwork on Monday and hopefully I'll have a brand new NP300 on my driveway by the end of the week. :grin2:

I come from a background of Toyotas, owned both the Single and Double cab variants of the Eighth Gen "Vigo" Hiluxes, I've sold them off to a family member who runs a farm up in the mountains so he needed them more than me. And after driving my van around and having to take multiple detours throughout the year due to rain and floods I decided to finally get a truck again, and after very short deliberation I choose the Navara. I'll be honest, the Navara is a bit of a blind buy for me. Didn't test dive it at all, and barely touched it in the showrooms, however I can easily justify my choice because it was the cheapest truck, looks the best out of the big 6 and in terms of off-road touring coils are whole level above leafs and not to mention the bigger aftermarket capabilities. And if it wasn't good then why did MB choose it as the base for their X Class.

The car will mostly be used as a Grab car (local equivalent of Uber) at first. In Borneo there's no difference between on-road and off-road because the surface is equally bad so this is going to see some beating even on regular days. All the profits will go to the vehicle upgrade fund. In which by the end of the 3 year warranty I'll be dropping whatever I saved at the 4x4 accessory store and take this baby to some proper off-roadin. Oh boy I'm already drooling at the ARB catalog.

Plenty of pics and updates on what you've done to it please. When you get it, of course.

Enjoy! I'd suggest a lift and some new tyres if you're off-roading. My sidesteps didn't survive well at Aldermaston.

Look forward to seeing your new truck as soon as you take delivery.
WHat mods are you planning for it?

Hi All! Good news, I've just finished all the paperwork with my dealer and the car should be here before Friday.

Not much mods planned while the vehicle is still under warranty. It will be on an as needed basis. Ie.lights if I think its too dark or suspension if I ever get stuck.
Once the warranty runs out its going to be the typical bullbar, siderails, snorkel, winch etc. I don't really have an absolute list yet and I plan to take the car off-roading in near stock condition, and fine tune the shopping list further using the experience.

The Ironnman 4x4 kit is available as a dealer fitted option here, comes with front and rear bars, side steps+rails, and suspension kit. Also it doesn't break the warranty. However, I'm not too fond with the looks of the Ironman stuff as opposed to ARB and I didn't really want to spend an extra (approximate equivalent) ÂŁ2800 from the get go. Its a bit eccentric but slowly collecting money and building it piece by piece seems more fun to me.
