Hi all,

Basically i would like to know the maximum load a navara can take on the back. The reason i ask is because i ran out of materials last week and had to pick up a load that i thought or thought i was told at some point that the nissan could carry only to find i had to drive up the motorway looking at the clouds because i was so low at the back it was dangerous.

i have bars on the back, and a flip over cover which flips back twice and stops at the bars so basically i had the load as far back to the bars as possible and dead centre so give an inch or so it was over the rear wheels and slightly over the tail gate which i had to leave open

that should be ok and they normally only go to about 900kgs anyway, but they dont spread the weight because its contained in the bag,so you have more weight on a concentrated area.. :D

I have seen navs well loaded up and the supension barely drops, not like other pickups and 4x4 i have seen that are grounded out at the rear. When im fully loaded its about 3/4 of a tonne and the rear supension doesnt move
probably because they have had the saggy rear end fixed already !

it depends a LOT on if you guys are talking about double cabs, king cabs or single cabs. load rating is generally 1 ton. however a LOT depends on where the load sits. having it stacked hard up against the cab is better than spread over the entire deck. single cab is best because load sits between the axles. double cab is worse because all the load is behind the rear wheels. because of the leverage effect 100kg at the end of the deck acts likes 3-400kg.
