I'm looking for a new set of boots for the old girl and been looking at the fuel economy and wet grip to help me choose.
Now the wet grip is important to me for obvious reasons but I'm finding that tires that are good in the wet are generally poor in economy
Realistically how much difference would I see in mpg from say a A rated tire and a F rated tire in a truck as economical as a navara? 26 mpg over 10'000 miles
I'm looking for a set of 4 x 285/45/22 which if I'm calculating correctly should fit nicely

It is impossible to provide real data - everyone has anecdotes about favourite tyres, but personal situations vary....

What IS known is that skinnier tyres are usually better in the wet and generally more fuel-efficient than fatter ones. Lower profile tyres are usually slightly more fuel-efficient too, given that the rubber heats up less from flexing of the sidewalls.

Also you cannot go only by brand. Tyre versions vary a lot.
