Firstly I would like to thank everyone who gave me advice about which shocks to use on the truck.

I finally got round to changing all the shocks... I use the term lightly as the old ones where more metal tubes with pistons in them as you will see from the photo they were buggared, the silver dream machine now has Monroes all the way round and as the title says she is a completely different animal and I love her, now we are having more snow here in Cornwall I can see me enjoying playing with her much more.

I must say that in the process of changing the shocks I was a little upset by our local Nissan dealer, she needed 4 new nuts for the rear shocks and I dutifully range Nissan to find out about prices to be told I had to order in tens and that how they get them and the cost would be ÂŁ25 plus VAT, FOR NUTS!! I found a local company that does fixings and that sort of thing and got 4 nylocks for ÂŁ1.13 total...... As I said now a new animal and very much in love with my truck again

Thanks for reporting this. The old ones sure were in their way to disappearing :)
I'm on my way to a suspension upgrde and also plan to upgrade my shocks, since I don't know how old they are.

Which Monroe version did you buy?

Cheers,
Mark
