I have been a busy bunny today my first weekend of tinkering and Swmbo out all day :smile2:
First job was fitting rear mudflaps pretty straight forward and easy to fit
Next on the list were the headlight washers what an absolute pig of a job these are to do , I don’t know if the bumper should be taken off to do these ( I didn’t ) I had the wheel arch liner out on the drivers side getbthe old units out is not too bad but fitting the new ones that is a different story I ended up taking the fog light out to get better access . The problem was getting the retaining clip on after god knows how many times dropping the clip I eventually got the drivers side on and secure .
But the passenger side I could not do in the end I lost the clip for this one and ended up using silicone sealant to hold it on it seems pretty well fixed and should be ok until I get another clip .
Next whilst the wheel arch liner was off on the drivers side I have connected up up heatshot unit this is a good place to fit it as suggested by someone else on here ( sorry can’t remember who it was ) these are now working so I want to see how they work ,I had it fitted on my Insignia but only for a week before I swapped it for the pathfinder .
I have also replaced the front wiper blades Bosch super plus the old wipers were noisy and juddering now they are nice and quiet .
Final job for today was to change the pollen filters the old ones were really really bad they don’t look like they had been changed for a long time , oh and I almost forgot I fitted new genuine rubber mats instead of the carpet type unfortunately the one of the carpet ones (drivers )had a hole in which was a shame but dangerous .
Looking forward to tomorrow to do some more bits if I am allowed out to play :frown2:

Mine went for service and MOT on Friday and chassis repaint (bear in mind my V6 has 24K miles and mostly lived in southern Portugal or Algarve, so no rain/salt to affect chassis)

No phone calls, so, by today (Sat) I assume nothing bad has happened (maybe wishful thinking!)
They tell me my chassis will have been repainted by Monday - TBC....

Meanwhile I have a brand new Nissan CashCow - a very sporty one (45 tyres, auto gearbox, Bose stereo) as a loan car. It's good, but the shortcomings are a bit obvious compared with German cars (if anyone is in the market for one, or cares..) Ask me if you are interested in the car...

I will report the outcome on my V6 next week, but, so far so good with Nissan Motorline Kindling (Oxfordshire) who seem to be decent people ....

Added Helicopter tape to the inside edge of the tub and the top of the roof rails. Even through the manual says 1.84m I was getting the warning bar running along my roof rails on car parks with 2m restrictions. I assume it was because the entry sign was on the transition to a slope. It is visible close to but is hard to see from a few meters back.

I also have a bit of an issue with the 'international pick-up award 2016' sticker as mine is an 18 registered truck - it looks like it is 2 years past it's sell by date. This came off today.

Kindling should of course be Kidlington (spell checker !)

Made a custom bed divider using some building straps. Photos tomorrow if I remember.

Jem,
It would be great if you could post some pictures. I'm very interested in this as Nissan's version is hugely expensive.

Thanks

I have today fitted sus-etc struts to the bonnet they are so much better than the metal pole
I also found I had a leak the headlining with the rear light unit in was wet when I checked I found that the rubber boot was pulled out of the hole , I think it is the rear window washer pipe in there .

Finally got round to washing it..... Really happy with the look all in black!
Looking very stealth I like it
Needs the headlights tinting imo

I've been considering that. And surrounds too. By the wife has told me to stop spending money on it.

I'll have to lie low for a while.
