Hi there iv just had a Reconditiond engine fitted and it starts and idles lovley but when the garage went for a testdrive they found there was no guts to it dose anyone know what could be causing this problem?

The Garage who fitted the engine seem to think they may have something on the wrong way round.

just thaught i would ask and see if anyone had any ideas i could put to them about wht it could be.

I fitted a head to a navara and now have lack of power thought maybe the timing but have double checked .It seems as if turbo is not working vacumm is ok and all pipes are ok compared with another Navara? The dealers cant seem to solve this problem either and there are no fault codes

HELP

I once bought a very cheap Range Rover TDi with no power, that had just had a brand new head fitted.
Expecting a lot of work and a big bill I set to it, delighted to find that when it was reassembled they had put the turbo wastegate lever the wrong way round, causing the wastegate to be permanently open.
10minutes later it was sorted, and went up the road like a rocket (compared to before!).
Worth a look at on yours.

Thank you peoples,

But the garage have been on the company i braught the engine from and they are going to send out a new engine free of charge and they are going to pay for the labour that it has taken to fit the engine!

Win win!

Saves me paying to have it fitted =]
