A lot of traffic cops have Agricultural traffic law training in Cambs , cant get away with anything after young lad killed up the road with 18T trailer and JCB fasttrac hitting a motorway underpass at 50mph. Farmer got fined ÂŁ600 (yes) K for that. So they like any excuse to test out their new found knowledge.
Ah right, always been weary of sticking younger drivers in fast and heavy outfits. Generally any student we have gets the 12 tonner and a 40k tractor until we see them fit enough and show maturity to take on a bigger unit. Cops down this area have only ever stopped me if its late at night and they wanna do a stop check to see if the tractors stolen and if you carry any loader implement pointing down. More chance of it falling off if the lock was to fail which I can see their point but at the same time I dont fancy having a lorry come around a corner and having spikes go straight through their windscreen.

Replaced front discs and pads. This is its second set of discs (inc. original) and its third set of pads (maybe fourth, I’ve lost track). Truck currently on 51.5k miles

They seem to have been dragging a bit. Seems to be a common problem with NPs. Hoping I’ve sorted it this time. Time will tell.

(Yesterday) 300 miles down to Dover on approx. half a tank. Not it's longest trip, having be down to Lands End last year, but happy with the performance.

(Today) Filled up again prior to boarding the ferry. Now in Normandy for a week, hoping not to have to fill up more than twice before landing back on Britsh soil next week. Plenty of exploring to be done though.

Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse brevity and mistakes.

Have fun and dont forget pics of your truck in scenic places.

Transported the header back to the farm, earning its keep. OSR almost finished, ridiculous time of year atm
Yeh we are also nearly finished been double shifting the combine to try and keep the moisture levels up 350 acres left so 2days if all goes well.
Its going to be a good year for those selling iron supplements for the soil ! LOL

Had to stop yesterday as the OSR as moisture was too low, first in my lifetime lol. Yeah I'm dreading cultivations, think I'm gonna wait and pray for rain

Today? Well today I have put myself off upgrading to a newer Nav or Np300.
After a couple of days with the youngest camping in Norfolk I went to get some stuff from the passenger Side and spotted the below pictured scratches:crying:

I am assuming it's from hedge hugging from yesterday on some single track roads my bloody stupid sat-nav sent me down yesterday
Yeh.... definitely put me of spending 15k on a newer truck

Ouch, I guess T-cut or an equivalent is this first step?
Best regards Sarah

Elbow grease and some G3 compound managed to get most out.
The one going down the length hasn't come out though! Hardly noticeable when freshly polished but comes back after a few days

Anymore scrapes and I might just raptor liner the whole flipping truck!

I don't know if you have seen this:
