Standard engine.
Changed colour on rims and running board for now.

Fitted aux battery in rear via cyrix ct 120 battery combiner. Charges 102 a/h battery as required

In near future I will be changing the down pipe to remove cat. In South Africa we don't have strong or any laws regarding dpf and cats.

And then still searching for an option on improving the standard lights
Light bars are a becoming a bit of an issue with traffic here

Hi, and welcome. I'd really like it if you could keep us posted on how you get on with changing the exhaust system. I'm planning on building a camper on a late model D-40 and then bringing it out from Europe to tour around southern Africa - SA, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique - and i'm wondering how best to protect the engine and exhaust if I can't get ultra low sulphur diesel on the more remote parts of that trip

Will post my upgrades.

As for diesel.
SA and Nam you will be fine. For the rest I personally can't comment. I would recommend joining SA 4X4 COMMUNITY FORUM. also available on tapatalk etc.
