Thinking about installing wheel spacers on my NP300.
Has anybody done it and has pictures, pros and cons that you have found?

Will have to fit arch extensions when it comes to MOT time I know.

Answers much appreciated.

I looked at them a while back but didn't buy a set.

I liked the Black Raptor type (30 or 50mm) as they bolt to your hubs then the wheels bolt to them.

I certainly wouldn't entertain adding extended arches, unless you really wanted that look / hassle, I'd just pop them off come MOT time....

Tyres that protrude from bodywork are illegal for obvious public safety reasons, so if anyone needs spacers, you also need extended arches, although bothering with either is a mystery to me, as it worsens some key parameters with the whole steering/handling/tyre-life setup...

On the other hand, if you are skilled at computer-based numerical analysis for suspension systems, and reckon you can do better than the PhD's that the car companies employ (not to mention the highly skilled and well paid road test engineers) then knock yourself out, and model a bunch of new suspension components - you'll be able to sell them!

To what end? Cosmetics?

The NP300 is burdened with 7” wide wheels, which limits the max tyre width that you can mount to around 265.

If you want a greater selection of tyres, and the look of the wider stance, why not move to 8” wheels with an offset that pushes that extra width 1” wider?
