I'm gunna order up a light bar I just wanna see some set ups and what size do you have
Yea that did concern me a little but its 3m tape which is quite good. but if it starts to loose hold id grab some sticaflex or similar! Im not too keen on the idea of drilling it down cos the nav roof has enough problems without sticking more holes in itIt looks fine until you read "adhesive tape instalation"
Not sure I'd want to sellotape it to the top of my truck...!>![]()
Works fine, to be fair and I may have mentioned this before the factory xenon's are superb dip and main beam, the light bar givse the main beam height and width.Thinking about fitting it to the same place on my Nav since I don't want it on the roof because of possible noise issues and maybe wish to hide a winch behind the bumper at some point.
Some months have passed - how is your experience with it lighting up the road? And what would be the maximum width of the bar if to install it like you did?
Ditto!I put my light bar in the grill opening above the number plate as the roof mounted stuff really howls at speed...
I totally get that you get a better light pattern from up there though and it’s the best place in that respect. Definitely use that stickflex black stuff...it is absolutely brilliant. I put a rear spoiler on my transit with it as drilling is such a bad idea on the roof. It never came off and I really did test it!
Do not rely on 3m alone.... they will part company with the car usually at the height of summer from previous experience!
Yea im hoping to a certain degree its made quite cheaply so its able to bend to match the profile of the navs roof. The other concern is that this is a generic product, so it won't match the roof shape exactly. Wouldn't that create wind noise?
Ok so i ordered it and it arrived and it look a good bit of kit however i failed to take into account the roofbars when i measuredAnyone got a roof light pod?

Thinking of getting one and swoping the bulbs for 100w or led
Thinking 400w of light on the roof would certainly make a difference but i do alot of motorway miles too so noise would be an issue
remove roof bars, use existing holes to mount the pod and blank off the rears? just a thoughtOk so i ordered it and it arrived and it look a good bit of kit however i failed to take into account the roofbars when i measured
Schoolboy mistake i know but that what you get when trying to measure somthing at 10pm i the rain
In short its about 4 cm too deep to fit in front of the roof bars and about10 cm too big to fit between them! So its going back on ebay and im back to plan Acry:cry
Normally id say thats a good idea and thats what id do! but i do use the roof bars quite regular thats why i was looking at this pod so i didnt have to mount spots to the cross barremove roof bars, use existing holes to mount the pod and blank off the rears? just a thought
