I'm wondering if are receiving the GPS signal - have you fitted anything electronic or possibly disturbed the GPS antenna?
Have you tried the "reset to defaults" option (somewhere in the menus!)

Yes I am able to navigate within the map using the rotary push button centre dial, regarding my previous answer on the status button this is working just not revealing the clock is there some kind of reboot or reset sequence on these Media boxes?

Yes. It has come up before but I can't recall where to find the info on here. Maybe LM^4 can as he has a good memory, but the meantime try some searches...

I am not sure what you mean by "navigate in the map", but I meant: can you set a destination to a nearby town/postcode and use the unit to get there? Thus proving GPS is updating. The clock, I believe gets its data from GPS, or at least uses it to sync the clock...

You can try resetting the whole car, disconnect a battery terminal and turn the key. For some reason there is no factory default setting, my infiniti with the same AV does have one.

This will allow you to enter the diagnostic menu, but be careful as some have managed to disable the whole system...

• Press the “BACK” switch and the “UP” switch of the 8-direction switches within 10 seconds after turning the
ignition switch from OFF to ACC and hold them for 3 seconds or more. Then the buzzer sounds, all indicators
of the preset switch illuminate, and the self-diagnosis mode starts.

The "8-direction switches" are, I assume, the ones under the main display screen that are surrounded by the silver rotating selector ring?
Excuse my "on the spectrum" issues!

Just before I attempt Landmann's useful but worrying if I get it wrong process I have recently had centre centre dashboard removed to facilitate the fitting of a 12v accessory socket.

Therefore working on the common basis that these things generally don't just happen they are caused,it's entirely possible the GPS antenna has not been replaced, is anyone able to tell me what that socket looks like or where it plugs into?

Right now I'm quite happy to use the truck without a clock when I think about the grief in getting the dashboard removed, I may feel differently in a few days!

Sorry I sent that last post to quickly I should also have mentioned that I have just used the sat nav and it appears to be functioning, well that's to say it gives me turn-by-turn and doesn't lose its track at all so it's still quite a mystery
