I use the truck to tow my caravan and a car transporter. Caravan being 13pin and I use an adaptor for the car trailer 7 pin connector.
Just returned from a euro trip with the car trailer and had some issues with the trailer tail lights, swapped the bulbs to no avail then checked the o/p direct from the socket and it seems the RHS tail circuit from the truck is dead. It's also dead direct from the 13 pin.
I can't find and details on any fuses etc for this circuit can anyone here help diagnose?

TIA!:cheers2:

New as it is, it could still be corroded earth straps on the truck or trailer, or corrosion in the connectors.
Start by using a multimeter and checking every signal in the connector, (trailer disconnected) to see if it's truck or trailer (it could still be either, but still worth doing)....

Thanks for the reply!
All other signals are fine as is the earth, seems it may be the module which I believe is CAN-bus? Apparently it doesn’t have any fuses and may just have expired! Thanks for that Nissan!

Strangely enough it seems to have started working again - for now!

Will check all the connections to the battery etc but the module seems to be wired directly and not a chassis earth.

Trailer wiring is not CANbus though - it is simple battery/bulb stuff...
Oddly enough, CANbus signalling would likely be the last thing to fail if there was poor connectivity....

Check the internal connectors in the back of the socket!
Even though its fairly new it could still have a loose/corroded connection
