The motor keeps cutting out after starting, happens around 10 times then warms up but has been slowly getti g worse when sits for an hour start up starts all over again, have cleaned scv no change any ideas what could be causing it to shut down worse when cold. Thanks

I suggest you reset the fuel pump. A procedure known as the pedal dance.

From people's experience on here I suggest one of three things

Suction control valve. They do not see to get better if you clean them.

EGR. Suggest you fit a blank to eliminate this

Camshaft position sensor.

I had the same problem and to start with pumping the accelerator pedal got over it. Changed the fuel filter over and when pumping the in-line bulb underneath found diesel all over my hand. The bulb had split, may have been failing for some time? Having not filled up for some time I filled right up with around 80 litres from the local supermarket on Wednesday this week and yesterday the old problem re-occured. No power and low revs. Turned the engine off and restarted and a cloud of black smoke came from the exhaust. Stirred up **** from the bottom of the fuel tank perhaps?
