68 Plate NP300 Battery Disconnect - Stereo Code?

Hi all,

I've seen a few posts kind of around this subject but nothing definite...

If I disconnect the battery for maybe 20mins, will the touchscreen stereo/sat nav unit work ok when reconnected or will I need some sort of unlock code?

Mine works without issue after a 12hours disconnection, however trip meter and time clock are reset

No, there is no code as the head unit is linked to the ECU in the security system.

Ok that's great, thank you both.

Is there anything else to be aware of with the battery disconnect or is it just a case of doing it with the truck unlocked and alarm off....and then all will be ok when reconnected?

Not much but I will say make sure all passenger doors are central-locked before disconnect the battery as the physical car key will only lock the front door.

Got this from Amazon these days and working well on our Nav. Keep the trip computer and even central locking works while main battery disconnected!
