2006 Navara loud in cabin

Hi guys couple have questions I have regarding my newly bought nav.

It’s quite loud inside the car hearing the engine and just outside noise is this common, also my air vents always sound like there blowing air in the truck very windy when we are going faster than I’d say 50mph, I ha e been told I have a small hole in the front exhaust flexi pipe so the garage said would this cause any noise or cause the car to tick, could be the injectors I’m guessing, I have been told they are very loud engines anyway.

Compared to a petrol engine they are noisy, not appreciably worse than the average turbo diesel car. Yes, the flexi joint can split, that does make it louder.

Ok might as well get a new full exhaust for £110 online, I was looking at getting a straight through exhaust no centre section, anyone know such a place that sells these.

I’d rather a exhaust note than always hearing my air vents when they are off I’m used to the e63 and my wife’s a45 so I’m hoping it won’t be louder than that.

It’s just a gym truck nothing to great about it

For sure, that Cybox kit is pretty serious. Depends if you like a growling truck or not. It's free flow, so you could always ask them to supply a muffler with it.

Hi will give them a call tomorrow I don’t want any silencer in the exhaust I like a growl, I was also thinking of getting my local garage to gut the cat out but it seems so more would this be restrictive or give it much free flow and any change in exhaust note:

They also wouldnt want what is a legal issue ending up on their door step!

Gutting the CAT( or any emissions kit) is illegal and many garages(reputable ones) would not take that risk as buck stops with them if found out. You as the owner can take the risk of being caught out.
