Can't find the clock spring on there so thought I'd just tear it down again and can't find the part number on it eather
Anyone got any ideas
There's loads of numbers on it but none like a part number

Update
In the bottom of the box I found product information sheet which states the oem part number as 25567-1DAOA
I've just Googled that and number it's coming up as a clock spring for a Nissan np200 van
They look identical except the white numbers seen in my pic are different
So are these different parts or should the np200 vans fit?
It's was advertised as navara d40 clock spring so just need to know if it's the wrong part or if it's faulty, or is my fault somewere else

Update I contacted the seller who insisted that it was compatible and thus must be faulty. He sent me another which I fitted yesterday and after i reset the code a quick spin round the block all seamed well, but im not holding my breath until after a "real world drive"
This morning dropping the wife at work 15 miles round trip I can now confirm all is well, problem fixed! Happy days :)
So can confirm that the clock spring from a nv200 van does fit on a D40 navara and on that basis I would assume the steering wheel/airbag ,indicator and wiper stalks all fit also

Yea me too wouldn't have been half the hassle if I'd got one with the right part number that wasn't faulty
It's not good when second guessing new parts
Is it the wrong part?,is it faulty?,is the problem something else?

It is either a fault in the module or the wiring to the steering wheel airbag.

If I were you I would find an independent auto electrician and get him to sort it. Saying that, if you have a multimeter you could do some continuity checks...
DO NOT EVER USE A CONTINUETY TESTER ON AN AIRBAG SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT USES MINOR VOLTAGES TO PERFORM CONTINUETY TEST AND CAN BE ENOUGH TO IGNITE AN AIRBAG!!!!

Hello, welcome, Tony Fox.

Thanks for the warning. But, you are 4 years late, many of us could have blown apart by now!!

Of course, seriously, we shall indeed bear this in mind.

Thank you for your comment - enjoy the forum!

The air bag warning light flashes like the MIL to show the error code. It's always on for 7 seconds then starts blinking and repeats the blinks. Long blinks (3 seconds), short blinks (1.5 seconds) and flashes (0.5 seconds) So 1 long 2 flashes is the drivers air bag module 2 short and 3 flashes is the RH satellite sensor If you can work out the flashes I can tell your error lol
Hi there, thank you for the informative thread. Mine flashes 1 long and 2 flashes, which you indicated was the drivers air bag module. Is that the spiral cable clock spring in the steering wheel? Regards
