Hi
My centre screen has just stopped working.

If it was just the sat nav it wouldn't be too much of a problem but it also does the radio, air con, reverse camera etc!

Will this be the screen that's given up or something else?
I've checked the fuses and all are fine.
I'm at the point of getting the center console apart but stuck at the storage box with flap on the front section!

If it is the screen is it best just to get a new one or is it good to upgrade the whole system thing with something else? If so suggestions please

Thanks

What year?

Either way, not great. Options, assuming it isn't something simple:
A new one can be bought from Nissan, ÂŁ5k.

They are a Clarion unit, so repairable, either by clarion or a specialist.

You can get them second hand, but it will cost to get it synced to the truck.

If before 2010 you can downgrade to the lower spec console with separate Aircon, then fit a generic double din.

Probably good news, it might just be a fuse

Thanks will check them. Thought they were just inside the glovebox!

It’s not as bad as you think. Remove the joint from the cradle and cut the wires From the corroded part and join them in a separate connector. It powered mine up again unfortunately not before Nissan had got their hands on it and created a bigger problem.

Oh ok yeah that's easier than replacing the whole cradle! Thanks. What did Nissan do?

They decided to have the unit sent back to clarion, refitted it damaged the dashboard only to discover there was nothing wrong with it. During lockdown I found that joint, repaired it to regain power. Unfortunately the repaired unit was programmed for an Infinty so had no control of fans, aircon etc for 14 months until Nissan finally sorted it. There’s been a few people with this same issue. Hope it works for you

I have the same problem with my Sat Nav/Audi/Air Con controls, took the plugs apart (plugs easy to remove by moving the grey bar down) to find this:

65660

From the explanation not sure how to jump across the connector, the fork appears to have become detached and is in the blades of the socket I'm holding - any tips?

Many thanks

I traced what cable was attached to the faulty connection then cut it either side of the connector block. I then rejoined the cable using spade connections.

Many thanks for the super prompt reply!

Will try that out at the weekend, was beginning to lose hope on fixing it myself, had got it booked into the dealer next week, ÂŁ120 for an hour's diagnostics!
