Looking to buy a Nav - D40.

But big decision is Crew Cab or King Cab. I don't particularly need the seats, my main concern is getting hold of a hard top and availability.
Minpr question... Pathfinder interior trim - same up front (dash, steering wheel, etc.) Might be a decent way to get a cosmetically crappy Nav and refresh it internally :)

Also, is there a recognised age where issues with rotting chassis were essentially dealt with? Or is it essentially pot luck, buy a decent one and get the chassis plated?

Cheers

I would think there are more crew cabs out there rgan king cabs so mybe more avaliability for a hard top best idea with the chassis is have a good look at it and see maybe appears to be pot luck'or if its been undersealed by previous owner and dont think there is any real difference in the pathfinder dash to the nav dash but sure someone will be along to let you know ;) soon

Cheers @geoffsnook

I'm more tempted by the king cab purely for load space TBH. Stick a roof on, insulate it and a night heater and it's an all season one man and his dog camper 😂

Or buy a pathfinder remove all the guts (rear seats ect)
Insulate and have the same end result for less money
Except... I aint shoving bales of hay in the back of a car ... just taken me nigh on 8 hours to get all that **** out of my XC90 (the wife looks at any kinda vehicle as some dumping ground for her horse *****)

Hence the desire for a space for people suff and other ***** I don't want in the people stuff area (you ever tried getting a melted horse lick out of carpet?? It's a bloody night mare.

Ahh that’s fair enough go for a king cab then
Sounds like you’ve already made your mind up in your head that that’s what you want

and I know what you mean about horse licks when there melted

Well, did the honours this morning. Ended up going with a double cab. But it's the right spec, colour and price on a 13 plate.

Just need to check for corrosion and give it a good underseal.
Gave the chassis a good going over on viewing. Everything is peachy. It also had a chassis inspection by Nissan in 2020. Gonna soak the inside with some kinda chassis protectorant... and then treat the outside surface rust and protect.
