Morning!

Looks like my hot pipe on my 2016 D23 NP300 has given up, now leaking considerable amounts of oil both ends - also has a drop in the oil level via the dipstick.

I have attached some photos, but just wondering if anyone has an idea on best way to go about replacing, any general service ideas I should sort whilst doing it which might be easier, and where the best place to source said part would be?

If anyone has any other information or tips, happy to hear them!

There's a few Australian suppliers who can sort you out with better parts than the original equipment, it is a common problem.

Here's an example

I decided to pull off the existing original hot pipe, seals looked to be intact, still quite supple - not clear indents, breakage or issues. Have cleaned with brake and part cleaner, given a good wipe down, made sure it was all seated properly and put back together.

Will see how it goes, can get OEM Nissan part for $345 or an aftermarket one that claims to not have the same issues for $450.

Has this still held? and do you remember if you ever saw anything that was obviously causing the leak? I've had one replaced under warranty and its leaking again, so I'm wondering if there is something the garage missed.
Leaking again, sounds like the CRG Fabrication one is the way to go.
Just a design failure, happens repeatedly.

Mine did it aswell, nissan said they had never had a issue with that part failing and blamed my driving style..
After alot of emails they fixed it . 2 weeks later it happened again. I put in a 600 x400 3inch front mount intercooler and customer piping.. no more boost leaks and gained 50nm of torque

How did this part work out for you?

I had hot pipe replaced like for like with original part through main dealer in April, only charged ÂŁ200, start leaking in august, they are now replacing under warranty with this new part in a couple of days.

Nissan replaced mine again under warranty a few days ago... took a while for them to get back to me. This time it is a completely redesigned piece.

So hot pipe is just a hollow pipe? Thanks
