Hi, Just bought a kingcab on a 2000 plate and am wondering about the hard ride I'm experiencing... There is an unreadable sticker on passenger door card that says something about laden and unladen riding... Is there something to alter to make the ride less backbreaking or is there a problem somewhere..?

Cheers David

The rear springs are designed to cope with about a ton of load, so they are harsh when empty. Once you start hauling heavy stuff around the ride gets more comfortable.

Checked pressure... 60psi in back...45 in front..! That was the problem I think! Already better. Ive got bfg all terrain t/a LT235/75 R15's on it so the garage said 40 all round...

Thanks for the simple solution...

Glad the ride has improved :) however I would check the ride height and front bump stops for contact as well.
I run same tyres/pressures but checked and adjusted the front torsion bars and it's even better now :thumbright:
