Hi all just wondering if anyone has come accross this same problem before? It keeps going into limp mod no acceleration engine light on pull over turn car off then on again still engine light on but drives fine. Comes up with code for the accelerator pedal sensor?? Had code cleared and did the same thing the next day ? have only owned this car for two weeks and already doing my head in lol sparkie not too sure what the go is so thinkin might just throw a new pedal assembly at it next week???

A new or used throttle position sensor does make sense, although I would suggest you try a good spray with electrical contact cleaner first.
There is an electric actuator on the tb, but it sounds like it is the sensor on the pedal. If you have an obd reader or can read the vehicle codes with you phone you will be able to see the output of the throttle position sensor 0 to 100%

Then you will need a suitable app, any OBD2 will do. Torque is one to chose, if a little dated.
Then you are able to see a load of parameters, and reset any fault codes.

Make sure the multi-plug connector has fully home on the pedal.
Also check if small stone or dirt is not fouling the pedal mechanism etc.

Ok cool ? thank you very much guys ?? Will give it a go and let u no how I go with everything. I haven’t tried removing the pedal and inspecting it yet ( I have checked the plug out and all seemed well) but will definitely be checking for any loose rocks or anything that maybe fouling with the pedal ??
