Hello all,

So I've got an intermittent ABS fault. I have checked all the usual stuff like sensor resistance, fault codes, wheel bearings blah blah blah however I can get rid of the warning light....

So light comes on whilst driving, stop and turn the car off, start it again and light is still there. Put it into 4wd and it engages (wont do this if I don't turn the car off), put it back to 2wd, drive for 10metres and the light goes out. Turn the car off and back on again and the light remains off for 150+miles

I have recently changed to front discs, pads and RH wheel bearing, there was a fair bit of spillage when pushing the callipers back in and I have a slightly long brake pedal at the minute. The truck is in for MOT tomorrow and asked for the brakes to be bled but if anyone has any suggestions as to what it could be then it would be greatly appreciated

Oh and when the light is out the ABS works fine, when it comes on I have no ABS

Regards

Just to add to this, the bleeding didn't work and now I am experiencing the occasional intervention of the ABS even when on dry smooth tarmac.

ABS pump/module packing up? Hopefully I will be able to get the car plugged in without costing a fortune tomorrow but that depends if the light comes on or not

Have you inspected the reluctor rings?
