Hi, have noticed the 4wd warning light is now on, have tried to use 4wd and nothing happens - what could be the problem?

Most likely the three transfer switches,

I have just spent £820 to get electrical fault corrected - wondered if this could have triggered this off?

What did they do to the electrics? It may be the person selling the truck had done something to mask the 4WD issue.

The garage had trouble finding fault nothing has been masked yet! After this I will be selling

It is unlikely the 4x4 switches not working would have caused another problem.
You haven't given much detail.

Hey mate, I have had the same issue. Try this... with the vehicle off switch control to 4H and start the car. If it changes great, if it doesnt stop reading as this wont help. Go for a drive in 4H for about 10mins. Then on you way home keep switching from 4H to 2WD (let the vehicle fully switch back to 2WD) and back again to 4H. Do this a couple of times and it should come good and the warning should stop appearing. Let me know how you go.
