AC issue on start up

When I start my (2015 D40) truck the climate control system goes straight into re-circulation mode, lighting up the re-circ switch indicator.

When I press the re-circ button (to allow fresh external air through the system instead) the re-circ funtion is switched off but the A/C switch illuminates and the A/C powers up...!

If I then oress the A/C button the AC switches off and all is normal again.

So, why does this happen?
Does everyone's truck do this?

How can I change what is activated on start-up?

Ideally I'd have nothing illuminate on strat up, until I select and press a button...!

Any suggestions?

It is most likely because the interior is hot and the climate control knows that the most efficient way of cooling it down is to re circulate already cooled air . It is normal in all our D40s. If you dont want anything working turn it off auto. They have sensors for external and internal air and are programmed to give the desired temperature in the most efficient way when working in auto mode. Dragging in external air does not do that.
