Hi Peck,

Please excuse my lack of knowledge with regards to this......but what are the benefits to this......is it just like a fuel additive...thin out the fuel etc.....

I will be interested with the response ...as i have never heard of this before....thanks in advance

Dave

Saddo that i am i have found this quite amazing :geek: ....i can see the fors and the against.......would i be brave enough to put it into my Nav with 5k on the clock .....i really don't know.....

Common sense tells me that if all that is true about adding the 2 stroke......why haven't the fuel co.s jumped on the band wagon......they are always open to making a buck or two...........

But then behind all that i can understand the theory behind it......lol......

Confused.....you should be in my head...lol

Cheers guys....i'm going for a lay down

The only time you would benefit adding oil to your fuel would be if it was poor quality i.e if it was full of heating oil, and you would only have to add an ordinary lubricating oil rather than just 2 stroke oil.

One guy in particular was using crappy laundered fuel and found by adding a gallon of engine oil to the tank got 50 miles more from the tankfull :pirate:

Just back from my nap.......and to be honest ...don't think i would either....just need more proof that it wouldn't do any harm......i know ...i'm a coward.... :pale:
  as joe says its only an option, prefer to use 2 stroke because it was designed to be mixed with fuel, but i haven't had any probs caused by that so far and with the poor quality of fuel here i think it has helped somewhat :salute:
Hi,yes 2 stroke was designed to be used for fuel, but that fuel was petrol and it was to lubricate the engine components not a fuel injection system, so I dont think it would be any real benefit over ordinary engine oil. :study:

Hi,would you have any doubts about the quality of the fuel you get over in Jamica?

And how much does a litre cost?

:?: :bounce:
with my experience here the quality is questionable, heard bmw once did a test here and said shell was the best of the worst   in pounds a litre would cost about about half a pound  one pound here is $147.00 and a litre costs about $74.00 :cheers2:
So that means our fuel in your money = $161.70
Obivously your government are`nt as big of thieves as ours is

Thats correct mate ye i didnt know the same tax rules applied
I think its good to be able to learn something new every day, like being able to take something apart to see whats wrong with it and even better being able to put it back together again with no bits left over,no spanners missing and everything working as it should

Then again I was at primary school when I first rebuilt a diesel engine
