i need help and not the professional kind my wife seems to think i do

d40 king cab ....coming from some where underneath , pulling off there is a sharp metallic click , not a clunk but def a click , confident its not the ujs , doesnt do it in every gear and appears random , certainly not there under power , how ever if set off slow and smooth no click , doesnt happen under breaking either , so before i start removing lumps of navara anyone know of any inherent issues

Rubber bonnet stops need adjusting?

Have you checked for anything loose in the cabin eg the jack?

Have you checked the nut behind the steering wheel? (sorry couldnt resist)

nope the nut behind the wheel is beyond repair , its not the bonnet its def coming from underneath and the click is loud , as if say a bolt holding something substantial in place has come loose and something is moving ......if that makes any sense . had it on ramps for a cursory glance but nothing obvious sticking out
