The grill i did with vinyl, just wanted to give it a go really. The bumper side steps and alloys I sanded down... The side steps back to bear metal to get them really smooth, the alloys just enough to get the lacquer off and the bumper i just kept on going until the chrome was really dull and finished with 600 grit. Then I etch primered them and spray 3 coats of black enamel and kind of backed everything by the log burner in the house. They are all sprayed with a proper spray gun, I just can't see rattle cans leaving a long lasting finish.
