Hello all, I have a 2014 D40 and plenty of surface rust now across the chassis. I'd really like to treat it in hope of getting a few more years out of what has been a very reliable truck. Can anyone advise what is best to do in terms of prep and products please? Obviously removing all the surface corrosion with a wire brush first, then coat with rust converter, although I've read mixed advice on using this..? What product(s) do you guys recommend for primer and/or sealing? I'm thinking it's too far gone to start using Lanoguard so any good spray/paint on products out there? I plan on removing the tub and really going to town on it! Thank you in advance ☺

The biggest issue is that it´s not from outside inwards the frames rust, but inside outwards. But it´s a good thing to protect the outside also of course.
If you remove the tub you should go through the whole frame and check if it´s started to rust trough somewhere and repair it at the same time. And also protect it on the inside, there I use Dinitrol ML
and then you should also plug al the holes so nothing can get in there.
On the outside paint will last longer but needs very good preparation, I usually puts Dinitrol ML followed by Dinitrol 4941 or smiliar product.
