Hi folks got a problem with my climate control
D40 2011 acenta 38,000 miles.
On a cold morning I set it to 20 or so on the dial and it warms up fine.blows warm air out and de mists.
Then the problems start on a journey over 30 miles it cools down and you have to turn the dial up,then again and again to maintain any heat.
Eventually ending up around 30 deg on the dial.
Problem started after the heater matrix was replaced when it started spewing hot water out of the vents.
It's been to Nissan last week they say they have bled it and it maintains its temp.( which it probably would sat in a car park for 10 min!)
The cool aircon seems ok.
Seems to work a bit better with the air recirculating on.
Any suggestions?

BTW - does it only do this on "Auto"?
Cos mine was similar, so I never had it on auto cos it always seemed cold - just use it on maunal setting all the time now

Good question I wondered that so switched it to manual a few times,on way back from N Wales couple of nights ago.
I was unsure, hence the temp gauge ill buy, went to halfords today but they don't sell em!
A vivarium one should be ok.

Try manually keeping it from blowing out the dash vents, once the cabin is up to temp the air is directed to the dash vents and it feels cooler so that it 'keeps' you fresh.

Yep noticed that,so I switched em off.

Yes, I use manual also. I always felt the top vents blew cold air on auto, and passengers used to moan. Fine on manual, but it does seem to need to be turned well up on a cold morning to warm the cabin - more than other cars I have had.

Update .
I bought a digital thermometer and stuck it to the dash, tested it on auto for a week and...

It seems the climate control is accurate !
If I set it to 20 c it takes about 15/20 min to reach it and stays within half a degree either way.
Turn it up to say 22c and that takes around 10 min to get up to temp and stays within half a degree.
So I suppose it just seems colder on auto as its blowing cold air at you!
Not as bad as I thought.
Cheers.

I did exactly the same as you, bought a thermometer cos I thought the sensor was wrong...
The same result as you, sensor working fine but blowing cold theough mid vents...
so I switched to manual and its stayed on that ever since!

My car has the same problem on manual. blows cold after 30 40 minutes of driving. Even when its at 29!!!!! But when i turn over to HI it blows hot... Is it suppose to do that? Or do I have a faulty cabin sensor?

I can't recall the last time I used auto as it could not detect when the windscreen was fogging up and choosing warm feet over good vision! I leave mine on manual all the time, windscreen/feet combo.
