Confused on spacer block kit and which mk my Navara is!

I know there's been a million threads, and Rich even posted a hugely helpful guide - but my confusion lies around which mk of D40 I have. It sits bang in the middle of the mk1/mk2 switch as a 2011 registered, '60' UK plate.

I got a bit ahead of myself and ordered some 20x9 KMC's with 285/50 20 Cooper Zeons as I was told they'd fit... however no one told me I needed to put a 'lift kit' on it first or going by Rich's guide - spacer block lift.

So, I now need to get one of these fitted I assume before I fit the new wheels?! And now the mine field starts of which mk is my D40. Someone told me that if I have three lines on the side of the headlight instead of one line it's a mk2. Is that accurate?

And does the mk1/mk2 make any difference to what spacer block kit you can fit? I was looking at this one: https://www.4x4at.com/nissan-navara-d40-truxlift-kit but it's out of stock. So my fall back is one off of eBay by Pro Comp: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-comp-...Kit-Fits-Nissan-Navara-D40-/222183390534?hash=item33bb297d46:g:jRIAAOSwanRXg8FK but that says only 2005-2011 and I can't get an answer out of the seller.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to identify what mk my Navara is and whether the eBay kit above will fit my truck?

Thanks

Josh

Thanks for the link - the only difference I can see is the more expensive one is a 2.5" lift and the one in that link is a 1.7-2.0" lift. I'd obviously rather the more cheaper one, but concerned it won't give me enough lift on the front for the new wheels!

I don't know what brand mine is but I got it second hand and it was previously fitted to a MkII lile yours, so I don't think there will be any difference.

Mine is a MkI obviously

No the mkI's also had the indicator in the mirror, and didn't have the repeater in the wing, however the mkI and the mkII have a completely different front end although they look very similar

early navs had wing indicators they face lifted in 07 to mirror mounted but face lifted again in 2010 with a wing, bumper and grill update along with the 3 lines in the headlight, suspension etc remains the same though, it was mostly cosmetic changes all the way through and Engine from euro 3 through to 5 plus the V6

Your Tyres work out at 31.22 inches mine are slightly Taller and I just had to trim the front water splash guard under the front bumper/wing leading edge however yours are slightly wider at 11.2 inches compared to my 10.43 so thats probably why you will need the lift, can you not return the tyres for slightly narrower 275s?

If not then a two inch lift will allow fitment however when the suspension compresses you may still get some arch rub depending on how the wheel cantilevers up into the well space what offset/back spaceing do the wheels have?

If you were sold these as a product that would fit then you may have the option to return them dependant on if they were new or not if new then frankly unsuitable unless they advised at the time of sale, if you paid by card request a return or advise you will be asking for a charge back as unsuitable goods.

They were new, although I paid via debit card. But my advantage is that it was a distance sale (purchased from Performance Alloys in Northern Ireland).

The details they recommended on the invoice state: Black 20x9 (6x114.3) ET30. Are your wheels (albeit narrower) fitted on standard suspension or do you have a lift/block of any sort?

Thanks!
