Hi everyone,
Thanks to this forum and all of you wonderful people out there, I have found the threads on both the subjects and deduced the following ,-,-, the neutral switch is to blame ---
I found that by holding the gear lever over to the left a bit in third fourth fifth and six not only did the cruise control engage it also set and did not disengage , it was great but also in the morning I started her up as normal but when i pulled off I held the gearstick over to the left again and hey presto she fired off the mark, not only once but a few times now - and the cruise control - tried it loads of times and it is definatly the problem, the neutral switch is connected to all manor of sensors - the cold start - the warm up button and so on, I went to nissan to get one but they tried to sell me a sensor for the transfer box, I told them it was on the gearbox they said no - they said they had heard the problem existed on the D22 but not on the D40,--- we've sold 140 this year and have not heared about this, I said that they had my nav for two weeks for these problems and they changed the suction control valve - it made NO difference to the faults I took it in there for and they could not find anything else wrong with it , I told them tonight what it was and as I said they tried to sell me the wrong sensor, ___ can I just check this is on the gearbox on the D40 isnt it , they gave me the part number as follows ---- 32006-CD10B - Any one corroborate this please cheers all
