Hi I have a nice 06 d40 with cruise control,a lot of the time..... in fact no.... all of the time, when I put it in cruise mode and set,it cancels itself out without me touching anything, what's the procedure for setting cruise on as I may be doing it wrong.

If it is cancelling itself, it is either one of the brake or clutch switches or more likely the Neutral Position Switch(NPS) (mounted on the side of the main gearbox).
The easy way to test the NPS is to push the gearlever away from you (or pull towards you) across the gate while trying to use the cruise control. If the CC works then it's the NPS that needs to be changed.
