Hi everyone.

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and have a 2004 D22 Nissan Frontier with a YD25 motor.

I have my van about 4 years doing 100k km and found oil in the radiator. Went inside the engine to find problem and then realised that the oil cooler was defective. I replaced the oil cooler but then decided that since I was already in the engine to do an overhaul (changed rings, bearings, gaskets and resleaved block etc). I completed the engine and started it. However, the engine check light came on and the rev (tacometer) is not working.

Can anyone help please?

I would suspect faulty crank sensor, especially as you have had engine work done and they are easy damaged
