Right ive had this problem before. basically the local mechanic said it was the crappy diesel he took some pipes off sprayed into the engine and woosh the truck was back to normal.

now its happened again and i cant remember where he sprayed into!!! anyone has any ideas ???

Cheers

Aaron

Would've thought he sprayed in some easystart or brake cleaner into the air intake by un-clipping the air filter assembly.
Only a short spray whilst cranking the engine over is enough to make it fire.
Don't spray too much of it in there as it'll cause damage :adminfinger

Leaking primer button.
Short and sharp, like your question!
 :clap

Nope, you could find out what's causing the problem.
As Chris says... poss pump, air leak, low compression, **** battery...
Easy start is strips the carbon from the engine, carbon actually helps to some degree. It's known as the automotive addictive drug, obviously it can't be addictive to a vehicle. Stripping the carbon build up often lowers compression, lower compression causes starting problems... As a result you use easy start, see the pattern?
Horrible Stuff !!!!

Arghhhhh... Easy start.
Hate the stuff !!!!
Tins of addictive destruction
Agreed :thumbright:
I'd only use it if really stuck and need to get it going.
As Chris and Biggi say, you need to find the cause of the problem and sort it properly

  love the way they say it as it is :salute:

Im in switzerland .Last year the local mechanic said it was the crappy fuel which was frozen ... he sprayed easy start in a small pipe in the engine and woosh it was fine after that .....
unluckly my truck is stuck at a friends a bit far out , maybe im just gonna have to call some out to see it !

Right couple of sprays down the Air intake and no joy¨!! i dont really trust that stuff. Im sure its just from the cold as it happened last season!
Any suggestions or shall i just wait for spring ??
That's odd because it should fire and run for a few seconds on the easy start/brake cleaner regardless of any fuel being pumped into the cylinders
The engine was being cranked over whilst the "couple of sprays down the Air intake and no joy¨!!" were being administered :?:
If so, there's more amiss than just fuel issues :(
