Hi having a problem with my d40 automatic gearbox. It jumps from 1st to 2nd and slips in the higher gears. It gets worse the warmer it gets then finally has almost no power and just revs with no go in it. Any body else had this problem or knows how to fix it. I took it too a gearbox specialist !!! New recon box and still got the same problem.

Sounds like clutch pack to me. However I would take it back to them with a you didn't fix my problems....

Your gearbox specialist needs to fix your problem or give you a refund. did they really fit another box? :dunno

Sounds like the torque converter is playing up to me.

Good chance to upgrade to a after market low stall version and get a totally different vehicle to drive.
