Hey all,
Iv got a 2006 D40 RX 2.5ltr manual...
But its lost 4wd.
I recently done an engine swap and put a gearbox from a 2014 model into the ute and since then its had the solid amber 4wd light on the dash and wont engage 4wd at all.
The car dosent have ABS so im stumped for ideas.

Anyone have a theory?

Is the actuator trying to engage? With the ignition on, but engine not running you should be able to hear it when you flick the switch.

If not, an electrical issue.

If yes, remove the actuator and see if you can engage the mechanism manually.

Ok thats definetly narrowed it down,
Cant hear the accutator trying to engage or anything

There's a fuse in one of the many fuseboxes, plus a relay in the box near the battery.
