Morning guys, my beloved truck has been down Nissan since Tuesday ...
Went to her saturday night, wouldnt start (started fine fri eve) everything was fine immob worked heater plug light went off turned key DEAD. Sunday picked up new battery fitted it still dead. She left my home Tuesday morning on a low loader gutted  and went Nissan main dealer, i thought this was best as in four years ive only done 22'000 miles, only work its done is carrying my mountain bike to Pines ...
After 3 diagnostic checks and a charge of (up to yet) ÂŁ200 they have said its the plug from ECU to the engine ..
Now i may be BLONDE but how the hell does a None moving part break in 4 yrs or 22'000 miles ?
Am i being dim ??
Ive made a very angry upset call to Nissan UK

Any ideas please ? Because now the other half want rid a very sad Liz :'(

Hi Liz,

I understand exactly what you are saying. The pins in that plug are very delicate. No doubt a technician at the garage undid it to do diagnostic checks and has now damaged them.

You're going to have an uphill battle with the dealer and Nissan themselves. Telephone calls can be forgotten, make sure all of your communications are in writing so you have a full record for use later if necessary.

Perhaps, your hubby has a point. Trade it in to them making sure they give you a really good rate.

I got an update yesterday, its a stone that has damaged the loom ... could of been there ages but unfortunatly over time rub through causing this problem.
Ive been on to Nissan and so have my dealer for a bit of good will, they seem to be trying to help because the car is now 4 yrs old but very low milage and NOT done any work only carried mountain bikes ... ill keep you all updated
Fingers crossed

Been down Nissan today to see my car and asked to see the problem. Been told now that its two corroded wires on top of auto transmition. After speaking to a guy who USEDto work at Nissan main dealer he said they had a Technical bullitin sent to the dealers telling them of this fault as you can imagine Nissan are taking no responsibility for this and are deniying all knowlege of it ...
Question .... why lie and give us 4 stories to the cause, then when asked about this bullitin the mechanic said yes thats the problem but cant discuss with customers the bullitins we recieve .....
Still waiting to hear from Nissan UK as to what good will they are giving but looking at a bill of over ÂŁ2000 for a car with only 22'000 miles on ..... gutted
Has anyone PLEASE heard of this problem before
