dashboard lights very dim on a 2005 D22

Hi Folks,
Was wondering if this is a common complaint with D22's. My dashboard lights are very dim and I cannot find a dimmer wheel or adjuster anywhere, not mentioned in the manual either. Is it easy to get at the bulbs, perhaps they are dusty, it looks as though they are all lit as the lighting is even across the dash.

I have removed the two screws on the dash plinth but nothing comes out, it didn't even loosen anything, I was afraid to try prying it with a screw driver blade.

Has anyone come across this or found a way to brighten the dash lights? Any help greatly appreciated.
thanks.

change them to smd's mate, brighter and can change your dash dial colour if your want to then,
favourite is blue SMD's
they also last longer than bulbs, :D

this was the item number 281068159507
Having read this topic, and having dim dash lights opted to purchase said item :awesomework but the package that turned up today has different bulbs and holders than those listed :eyeroll which i found out having removed all the dash bits!

Any one else had this...........or is it just my luck? Dont think i will get too much joy from his address details either.........check out his listing :faint

Just looked at them.
You didn't pay ÂŁ53-39 did you?
I have bought a lot from the far east, anything wrong or arriving broken has always been replaced, they seem to want their buyers to be happy.
I would get back onto him and tell him he sent the wrong bulbs, you might get a pleasant surprise.
Sometimes the language barrier gets in the way, also they sell thousands of items a week so mistakes are genuinely made, I have also noticed that the pictures aren't always correct, you have to read the complete listing description to confirm it's what you thought.

Guys
I bought these last week, and after filing a tiny bit of the lugs which were for some reason a fraction larger than stock, they fit and work fine (they are blue though, which is not everyones choice!) 350603399697
They turned up in a couple of weeks and were very cheap!

i also ordered from him :-D
but they cocked my order up and now want me to pay again to ship the right parts out :-(

the seller is a joke.......cant speak a word of English and does not understand what he has done wrong......even though I have sent pics and made it very simple to understand......bloody joker!

Any one else tempted to buy from this p***k should be warned.........YOU WONT GET WHAT YOU THINK YOUR BUYING! You will get what he wants to send!

Pushing for a full refund......but not getting anywhere

good luck with that seller.......EBay refunded my money having issued warnings to the seller to "converse in English" several times......the email responses were a joke.........

for the time being I bought some more Lucas bulbs.......which wont last long I am sure, so if any one can offer up a link for SMD leds......that will fit please let me know.

I ordered and fitted the ones from coops link, the metal lugs need a wee bend to make them fit but they are cheap, you get what you pay for.

They look great although the actual needles are less bright, it would be nice if the red had the same flare as the blue.
