Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows the laws regarding cats for mot purposes as in do i need one in my exhaust set up to pass an mot. My exhaust is just starting to blow a little and was going to go down the stainless route. Just need to know so I can let the guy who will be building it know so he can price it in or out.

Cheers
Al

Lol. Well thats good news. I get a price for one tomorrow. Think will have a straight piece left in where the cat should go just in case it needs to be cut out at a later date.

Cheers for the info :cheers2:

the cat is bolted straight onto the turbo and you can't just remove it and put a straight pipe in its place. I decided i'd de cat and make a new exhaust and it was a pretty big job, i ended up hollowing out the inside of the cat and just taking the new exhaust back from it. Now my turbo whistles like mad!!:)
