Hi Guys,

Very random this, sometimes when I get out, shut the door and use the key fob to lock it. You can hear the actuator lock and the alarm comes on etc.

However, you can still open the door??

So after I have unlocked via the fob, tried again a few times then it works and locks, very bizarre!

I shouldnt have to wait for the Alarm Symbol on the dash to stop flashing rapidly or anything 1st surely.

Any ideas??

sounds like a dodgy solenoid, or maybe something has come loose and the solenoid is not throwing the lock?

I can hear the lock in the door, so I know its not the motor and at least its getting power.

Had this on a Zafira once, bought a whole new solenoid/locking mechansim and turned out to be a broken wire where the door shuts!
Was fuming :(

I will just keep my eye on it for now, if carries on i'll strip the door and see whats occuring

Cheers dude, I will read these in a bit as now at work :(

i had the same problem with mine i replaced the solenoid/locking mechanism which was ÂŁ105 from nissan which made it better but occasionally so does the same :dunno until when i changed the locking program so instead of unlocking the whole truck, it now just unlocks the drivers door then press it again it unlocks the whole truck.

i done that by holding down the unlock and lock button on the key throb together for a few seconds :awesomework

WOOOO!!!!
The fob thing worked, holding the open and lock button reset the central locking so now it's once for the drivers door and twice for the car. Plus it seems to have helped the locking issue.
FOR NOW.............
Cheers for the tip :)
