good day to all of you. im aki of philippines, owner of a D40 navara.

just wanted to ask the gurus here if there are any available drop in filter available for our navaras? if there are, kindly provide with there part numbers and brands.

on a dyno it shows an improvement about 7hp to our cars... i haven't measure consumption but of course it will be better cause the engine breaths better :wink:

Be careful when ordering though because if yours is not a Spanish built one then it wont fitted as Thai ones run a smaller air filter.

oh! mine is a thai built one. anyone knows any aftermarket drop in filter that will fit with a thai built filter housing?

Take a picture of your engine bay and air box so we can have a look and see if it is different.

sorry for the late reply. i will try to take some picture of the engine bay tomorrow. i had tried clarifing this issue with the local distrubutor of K&N here and its true that the part number mentioned above wont fit with the navaras sold here in our country.

As already mentined this is the wrong part number for the Thai built utes. Their one are smaller.
It may be a case of measuring it and then matching it to another model that is similar size.

i noticed also that on the engine cover it says "Di" and not "Dci" it's the one with the 144 hp?

yep but if i'm not mistaken both the 144 and 174hp engine here share the same engine cover which only indicate "Di"

measuring the filter itselfs i believe is the only way to get a replacement drop in filter. as i was studying the size of the filter, its almost the same size with the filter of the n16 with qg16 engine, though im not quite sure since i dont have the actual sample of the n16 filter.

perhaps there is a website where in we can check a replacement drop in filter through my filter's part number, that would be a great help or we can match as to what vehicle uses the same filter to our navara. my filter's PN is 16546-EB70A
