Has anybody had any issues with electrics just flashing up for a few seconds and alarm going off. also when (eventually get car started) when its stopped and take key out of the ignition the engine is still running ? been with garage for days but cannot find fault, any help much appreciated
electrical problems and engine running on when key taken out

Bad earth, broken ignition switch? I would have thought your garage would have checked these..

Welcome.
The commonl cause of that is the brake light circuit feeding the ignition. (Brake lights work when the ignition is switched off)
Maybe as simple as a faulty brake bulb or towing electrics.

Welcome to the forum.
Sorting is feeding the engine ECU separately , as previously the most likely cause is a faulty brake light bulb.
